Hey Reader,
Welcome back to the return of Chess Openings Tuesday!
Just a quick re-introduction. Last year, we sent weekly emails with a comprehensive breakdown on a certain chess opening. It proved to be too much work and got little interest, so we cancelled it.
But with the release of our new Chess Opening Trainers, we figured it's worth starting up again with a slight difference. The goal now is to help you figure out which of the many openings are appealing, and to help you build your personalised repertoire.
So instead of a deep dive, we'll be giving you a quick overview of two separate openings - usually one for White & one for Black. These are randomly chosen from our set of 150+ chess openings each week.
These emails are applicable whether you already own our full library and are trying to decide what to learn, or whether you're just looking for a single opening trainer to pick up.
They're also a good way to hear about small updates from the business, such as new products and improvements. Each email should only take a few minutes, maximum, to read through. Most business updates won't be as long as this either!
Finally, for context, this is using the same data we use in our 'popularity' cheat sheets and opening trainers, taken from the Lichess open database.
Let me know your thoughts on this new format by hitting reply.
Right, let's get into it.
