Chess Openings Tuesday - 4th August 2026

Hey Reader,

Welcome back :)

Firstly, thanks to everyone that gave their thoughts on the pawn training product - there was almost unanimous interest! So I'll bring it forward in the ever-growing product pipeline.

Second, another update. I'm currently improving all the 'book move' opening cheat sheets, including:
- A visual refresh and better layout for usage
- Expansion into more openings
- Print-specific versions for each (black & white; higher resolution)
- And eventually variation trainers for each, too

I'll do a proper announcement once finished.

Finally, one request from me. If you are, or know, any chess coaches - or are a senior member in a local chess club - please get in touch. I'm working on a series of resources to help coaches, and reference materials for usage in clubs. Would love to get feedback.

All that covered, here are this week's openings.
